What a fall from the grace! The BJP which failed the Nation with poor Covid management and disastrous vaccination in the last few months, is leaving not a single opportunity to seek credit for all the good work. The Vaccination drive is not funded by your party or leaders. The money comes from the taxpayers of this country and revenue generated by the States. Don’t think you have come to the rescue of this great nation. The nation has given a chance to you to govern and you should feel obligated to the people of this country instead of trying to mislead and fool them.

We, at Biju Janata Dal, believe in ensuring vaccination for all to save precious lives. For our popular CM Shri Naveen Patnaik and the government, human life is above politics. Whether Disaster Management or Pandemic, Odisha stays ahead and proved to be a role model in ensuring zero casualty. That’s our motto and people of Odisha acknowledged it. That’s the reason they have been giving a thumbs up to CM Naveen Patnaik and BJD for the last 21 years, rejecting parties like BJP which has no clear vision for Odisha and its people.

There is no surprise when such a party of narcisism approach has been protesting against exclusion of PM’s photos at the vaccination centres. They are born to publicise every small and big efforts even at the cost of human lives. They never own up failure and mistakes, but always seek credit even if it’s not due.

Every COVID vaccination certificate includes a photo of the Prime Minister. While every other party made an issue of it, the BJD never made it a political issue. Vaccination, whether for polio, BCG, measles, DPT, hepatitis, or Vitamin A, has always been a nationwide programme run by the Indian government. Many people are thanking the Prime Minister for redeeming the predicament with vaccinations, but it was never intended to be the state’s responsibility in the first place.

Making politics out of something as basic as this is trivial and pathetic. In these trying times, we should focus on ensuring vaccination for all. But, BJP is obstructing it due to its arrogance and apathetic attitude towards people’s concerns.

Common people are upset and worried to watch BJP’s drama. The heinous act of tearing up posters of Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik won’t be condoned. I am not sure who is driving the BJP workers to indulge in such outrageous act. But, it’s clear that they are putting last nail in the coffin of BJP in Odisha.
