Baramunda ISBT to become a Reality by June 2022

Thanks to special interest taken by Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik and continuous efforts of Secretary to CM (5T) Shri VK Pandian and other officials, who leave no stones unturned to expedite the Baramunda ISBT Project, a dream would become reality by June 2022.

Shri VK Pandian visited the spot today to review progress of the work. Accompanied by senior officials including Dr. Krishan Kumar, Shri Vineel Krishna, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh and Shri Bhupendar Poonia, he visited the project sites of Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) at Baramunda,  new road to connect CRPF square to Institute of Mathematics, Affordable housing project in Chandrasekharpur and Incubation tower, near Infocity.

The ISBT, Baramunda Project is being built by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) over a 15.5 acre land at a cost of Rs 180 crores. The Bus Depot at Khandagiri is also part of the project with a capacity for 300 buses parking. Shri Pandian directed the officials to maintain the quality of the works while completing it on time.

Apart from the Baramunda ISBT Project, Shri VK Pandian also visited the affordable housing project in Chandrasekharpur, which is being built on PPP basis. The project with 2600 houses is coming up over 20.21 acres area, of which 6.5 acres is for the development by the PPP partner. The colony will have community facilities like primary school, primary health centre, shopping area, play area etc. The project will be completed in two phases by September 2022.
