Shri Naveen Patnaik had entered politics in 1997 after the death of legendary Biju Patnaik. In his 24-years of political carrier, he has been the Member of the Lok Sabha in Aska, then Union Minister and later the Chief Minister of Odisha for the last 21 years.

The love and affection of the people of Odisha towards Biju Babu helped Naveen Patnaik start his political career. After the 1999 cyclone, people of Odisha pinned hopes on CM Naveen Patnaik and he did not let them down. Since taking over in 2000, CM Naveen Patnaik has set his target on development of people of Odisha and it continues unabated.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given a new definition to governance in Odisha with innovation, transparency and people-oriented policies. Now Odisha is no longer dubbed as a land of hunger, rather it achieved the distinction of having rice bowls that not only fulfills the needs of people, but also help the state gain recognition across the globe.

Under CM Naveen Patnaik’s rule, Odisha has become economically prosperous and self sufficient. Industries flourished in the state in the last two decades. CM Naveen has left no stones unturned to put India on the global map by sponsoring National Hockey Teams that brought laurels to the nation and lending a helping hand to other sports like Rugby. Whether Sports or Tourism, Odisha has been able to create a big buzz today, thanks to our CM.

Whether KALIA, BSKY, Mission Shakti or School Transformation Project, Odisha is reaching new heights with 5T Model of Governance conceptualised by CM Shri Naveen Patnaik. Our CM is making all efforts to ensure infrastructure development and reaching out to the masses at the grassroots level. All his pro-people policies have yielded results, earning accolade from various central government agencies and ministries.

The ‘Jeevan Bindu’ blood donation programme launched in 2015 and the ‘Odisha-Mo Parivar’ launched in 2019, have been helpful to people in need and distress.
